I grew up in a small town in the Rainwater Basin area of Nebraska. Ever ince my dad took me on my first hunt, at the age of six, I have been hooked. I was introduced to the outdoors pheasant and quail hunting. Playing four sports throughout high school, time for hunting was pretty well limited to the weekends and any of my free time was spent deer and waterfowl hunting in the fall and chasing snow geese and longbeards in the spring. The older I got, the more interested I became in filming and editing hunts. One thing led to the next, and now I spend a fair amount of time each hunting season behind the camera. Most of what I have done filming so far has been for personal use but I have also done some freelance filming throughout different parts of the Midwest for turkey, deer, and waterfowl. Being able to relive these moments and share them with others is something that is truly rewarding to me. I am currently a student at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln majoring in fisheries and wildlife with a minor in grassland ecology and management. Last summer I had the great opportunity to intern with Dr. Grant Woods, the owner of Growingdeer.tv, doing wildlife management work as well as film for the weekly show. I plan on graduating in the spring of 2016 and am hoping to continue to pursue this passion of wildlife management and filming. I am truly grateful for being introduced into the outdoors at a young age and there's nothing better then getting to enjoy God's awesome creation with family and friends and pass on that tradition and passion to others.
